An eyewitness account that puts Tyler Robinson about three hours from UVU on the night before the shooting
Diligent Denizen (DD) interviewed staff at Cowboy’s Smokehouse in Panguitch, Utah. A staff member says Robinson ate at the bar there on the night of Sept. 10, 2025, and that he is certain it was him. These are their claims, not established facts.
A staff member who helped check him out says he is “100%” certain it was Robinson, and that he recognized his voice.
In the video, DD reads a receipt the restaurant gave him with a 9:47 p.m. checkout time. The owner says the card was keyed in, so no name printed on it.
Staff say the restaurant reported it to the FBI and never heard back, and that neither the prosecution nor the defense has contacted them.
Their claims. An eyewitness identification is not proof. The owner says investigators never told the restaurant whether it was Robinson.
Exhibit C · Why DD says it matters
The timing question
In his post, DD says Panguitch is 2 hours 49 minutes from UVU, so if Robinson left at about 10 p.m. he could not have reached UVU before about 12:47 a.m. on Sept. 11. He argues that does not fit the texts in the case, which he says have Robinson watching and waiting for police to leave for hours before about 12:36 a.m. His argument, not a finding.

What the same video also shows
In the full conversation, the restaurant’s owner says that as far as he knows it was not Robinson, while his staff believe it was. He also says the restaurant had no working camera that night.
